The GI Generation: (1901-1924)

According to experts, a generation is not so much defined by a range of years, but rather by the events that were taking place during those years. So a child exposed to these events while in their formative years is a product of that generation. It is said that these events influence their personalities, giving them measurable character traits.

Experts describe you as follows:
"Those of you 78 to 101 years old are the hard-charging dads of the "GI Generation," born from 1901 to 1924. A cohort reaching from Walt Disney to George Bush. Back in the heady days of what the historian William O'Neill has dubbed "the American High," the GI peers of John F. Kennedy made much of "gaps" -- missile gaps, science gaps, poverty gaps. Gaps were something they thought themselves quite good at building bridges across. But not this one. Beginning in the late 1960s the generation gap became a full-fledged age war. "
