Project Overviews

Image Optimization

You were provided several “raw” images by the company’s photographer.  He/She used a digital camera that captured great detail, and created images with large file sizes and dimensions.

You needed to crop, resize, label and compress the “raw” images to meet the needs of your web design.

Columned Newsletter

You all had the same specifications for this fictional newsletter. Those specifications included of course the number of columns, but also the size and shape of the images.

Although the instructions were identical, You of course are not, and so each finished project is different.

Take some time to view the work of your classmates. Observe what they did differently under the same guidelines. Observe what they did the same. Use these observations to inspire some creativity in your own future work.

Newsletter Three

This Project was a more complex version of the simple newsletter. The hope was to allow for more creativity, and the use of more tags and attributes.

About our blogs

Web Logs, or blogs, are a simple way to communicate over The Internet. I use my blog to communicate with my classes, and they use their blogs to communicate with me. More importantly, the students use their blogs to communicate with each other. The students stay connected through two blog features; groups and comments. By joining a group, the students can view all the students in their class in one place. By taking advantage of the comments feature, they can provide valuable feedback on each others work.

High Points Groupwise E-mail

Our school has provided each student, and every employee with an electronic mailbox, and address through their own closed system. This allows every person in the school to communicate safely and reliably. We take advantage of this daily.

Kung Fu and More Kung Fu

With the introduction to JavaScript to our list of languages,
we were able to make some interactive web pages.
These projects allowed us to show off a bit.

I Love Monsters

With an even greater command of JavaScript we were able to
create pages that truly involved the user, and have some fun doing it.
This project also allowed us to create more organized code; through the
use of separate style sheet, separate JS sheets, and separate folders.
